The J W Marriott Mumbai was a challenging project. This hotel required over 300 works of art. The areas that needed to be addressed ranged from the more mundane bathrooms to the lavish banquet rooms. Each area needed to be treated with a thought for the scale and the kind of ambience it was to create. Work on the art culminated along with the designs for the interiors. The process of designing the space and acquiring or commissioning works of art began around the same time. This led to a marrying of the two disciplines right at the outset. TFAC went on to install all the art work and accessories. The Management was very clear about the fact that they wanted to stay away from any representation of either violence or sexuality. The resulting art program included paintings and sculptures   by well known names from the Indian Contemporary Art scene along with photographs, paintings and sculptures sourced from Indian Folk Art.
